Elmwood is fortunate to be located in a quiet corner of a leafy suburb...

But the facilities within the club are the result of hard work from the club.

  Courts now re-surfaced!

   :: location

Elmwood Tennis Club provides top tennis facilities, coaching and development in Christchurch's northwest suburbs. The courts are on Heaton Street, between Wairakei and Papanui Roads. Click here for a map.

Access to the club is shared with the Elmwood Bowling Club. The club looks out over Elmwood Park - a classic Oak-lined English Village Green, used for club cricket in the summer months, and soccer in the winter.

To the north-east, the club car park borders with Heaton Intermediate and neighbouring St Andrews private school.

Elmwood tennis club has nine courts available - six to the north of the clubhouse, and three tucked away behind it.

Elmwood Tennis Club has qualified
for the Sport Canterbury “Club Mark’
Award.

This was presented to the club on Tuesday 21 June 2005. Among other things, this means we are a smoke-free and drug-free club, with procedures in place for reporting of accidents and maintenance work and contacts for emergency services.
