Elmwood Tennis Club is on the north side of Heaton Street, which is between Papanui Road and Strowan Rd/Rossall St (which runs into Wairakei Road). The area could be described as Elmwood, Strowan, Merivale, Bryndwr and maybe even Papanui.

Access to the club is shared with the Elmwood Bowling Club, through an iron gateway in a very solid rock wall. Please take care turning into the driveway, particularly on Saturday mornings as there are plenty of young tennis and cricket players moving about, as well as Bowling Club members.

Ample parking is available at the end of the drive amongst the trees. To the north-east, the car park borders with Heaton Intermediate and neighbouring St Andrews private school.
